Kris Parmelee

Parmelee Consulting Group
After more than 20 years as a consultant, PCG, Inc. has developed long-term relationships with many of its clients. It’s not just about a single project; it’s about creating opportunities for meaningful engagement and growth—for both PCG, Inc. and the client.

Kristen (Kris) Parmelee is a proud graduate of Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). She started her career at an Indianapolis-based nonprofit in program development and management. After gaining initial experience in fund raising, Kris launched her own venture in 2000 with a focus on private foundation and federal grants. In 2005, she expanded her experience to include SBIR/STTR and for the past eight years, has focused almost exclusively on SBIR/STTR and project management services.

Between 2010 and 2013, in addition to consulting, Kris also fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening and operating a carryout restaurant serving healthy food to go in Indianapolis’ Broad Ripple neighborhood. Kris is also the co-founder and CEO of Lectio, LLC. Founded in 2015, Lectio was inspired by her struggle to find an assistive technology to meet her son Sam’s needs after he was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. Lectio first appeared on iTunes in May 2015 and Kris continues to market the app to schools, teachers and parents.

Personally, Kris is captain of her tennis team, a certified personal trainer, an avid reader, the mother of three teenage boys and is married to an Indianapolis police sergeant.
