Presented by RISE (Regional Innovation and Startup Education)
This session will begin with a fireside chat between Marian Hodges, vice president of corporate strategy and development at Data Realty, and Lynn Tilton, the founder and CEO of Patriarch Partners, a New York City-based company that has held ownership in and restructured more than 240 companies with combined revenues in excess of $100 billion and representing more than 700,000 jobs.
Tilton has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business and many other networks countless times and has been dubbed America's "Turnaround Queen" and the "Diva of Distressed" for turning around dozens of distressed companies.
In this session, Tilton will discuss what it took for her to succeed as a woman entrepreneur on male-dominated Wall Street, why she cares so much about "Main Street" America and the "forgotten" parts of this country, how making money and making the world a better place are not mutually exclusive concepts and her life story as a successful female businesswoman and entrepreneur.
Following Tilton's talk, IDEA Week will inaugurate its Innovation Awards series for entrepreneurs and inventors in the South Bend/Elkhart area at a ceremony on Monday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at the Morris Performing Arts Center in downtown South Bend, Indiana.
The following awards will be given out:
